Raby Bay has a challenge in being reconised as a suburb.
A recent Sunday Courier had lists of all the areas in Qld and their average property values. Raby Bay was excluded because it is not recorded as a suburb and all sales are included with Cleveland. This provides incorrect median values to Cleveland properties and leaves Raby Bay property values unknown. All the other areas in the Redlands have their own post code. I have been told by the data collectors that until Raby Bay has its own post code it will always be included with Cleveland. This has a real impact to Raby Bay residents whose properties will never be listed separately.
No wonder this fantastic area has such a low profile and values have never seemed to get the lift in other periods that simular canal developments have achieved.
Can the committee look at this issue with a view to obtaining our own post code in the sun.
